AAF (AMERICAN ADVERTISING FEDERATION) COLLEGE-CHAPTER

With over 225 affiliated chapters throughout the United States and abroad, AAF's college-chapter program includes CCNY among its nearly 8,000 undergraduate student members and more than 350 faculty advisers. AAF offers programs and networking opportunities to guide its college students through advertising curriculum and job placement. The CCNY Chapter meets on a regular basis and includes lunchtime guest lectures and forums with industry professionals. 

PRSSA (PUBLIC RELATIONS STUDENT SOCIETY OF AMERICA)

Active since 1996, chapter members have visited PR agencies, run a Chapter agency, sponsored PR-related seminars, and organized and implemented the annual networking event: “Building Bridges, Making Connections” for  Ad/PR  students and alumni. The declared purpose of PRSSA is "to cultivate a favorable and mutually advantageous relationship between students and professional public relations practitioners."

THE ONE SHOW COLLEGE COMPETITION SUPPORT GROUP 

For students interested in creative competition, the Ad/PR Program offers a support group to help students develop advertising and integrated marketing communications campaigns for submission into the highly prestigious One Show Competition. In 2007, CCNY won the College Client Pitch Competition for “Design a Better Future,” an integrated marketing communications campaign for the NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council). Award winners Sal Lombardo and Morgan Schreiber presented their campaign to a panel which included industry professionals, One Club judges, and a representative from the NRDC. Laura Maladrino was a Merit Winner for her Print Campaign on Doritos in 2008. Most recent winners, Roberto Clemente and Simeon Coker, won Merits for a print and integrated branding campaign for City Harvest in 2011.
