This site is designed to provide the resource base required by students who are learning about research methods in psychology. The tools required for defining researchable questions and collecting and analyzing research data can be accessed by students at the point in time when they are needed.  The site is organized around a set of modules, each devoted to a particular skill required for conducting behavioral research.  The hypermedia format allows individual students or student teams to actively explore different dimensions of a research topic.

The materials at this site are designed to support a new model of teaching and learning – one which emphasizes self-initiated, hands-on learning and research by students, working individually or in small, collaborative groups. The model rests on the premise that active learning strategies, particularly experiences in which students define their own questions and pace, accelerate mastery of research techniques.
