BIC Program Research Opportunities
NIH (U54) Grant for Social Marketing and Technology to Increase HPV Vaccination Rates among Mexican American Children.
From 2014 to 2017, BIC will be partnering with Memorial Sloan Kettering on a joint $750,000 research project to develop and implement a communications campaign aimed at increasing HPV vaccination rates in the immigrant Mexican community here in New York City. A limited number of PAID research assistantships will be available to BIC students interested in working on this project to assist in developing strategies and creating an actual campaign centered at the Mexican Consulate here in New York City. PRSA Grant to Investigate Access and Success of Under-Represented Demographic Groups in the Public Relations Industry.
The Public Relations Society of American Foundation (PRSA) has awarded the Media & Communication Arts Department a national research grant to examine the issues and conditions relating to the access and success of under-represented demographic groups of young professionals as they enter the public relations field.
