Scholarships and Research Opportunities
All scholarship recipients have the unique opportunity to conduct hands-on research in the NYCBE state-of-the-art laboratories, either at CCNY or at one of our hospital partners, under the mentorship of experts in the field.
The Howard Hughes Medical Institute Program for Undergraduates at CCNY provides support for senior, junior, and exceptional sophomore level students conducting research in a BME or NYCBE lab. A wide range of research experiences are available to interested student. Students must first contact a Professor to obtain a position in a lab. The Professor may then nominate the student for the HHMI scholarship. Scholarships provide support of $500-$2000 per semester and are renewable pending research progress and fund availability.
