Commitment Deposit
How do I pay my commitment deposit?
New students can pay the commitment deposit on-line, in person or through the mail.1) ON-LINE : You must activate your CCNY e-mail in order to pay your deposit on-line.
- Log-in to your CUNY Portal Account
- Make sure your profile lists The City College of New York as your Primary College.*
- Make sure you set your Primary CUNY Role to Student.*
- On your CUNY Portal Welcome Page, scroll down to Applications/Resources and select eSIMS.
- On the left-hand side in yellow, select the Semester Bill, then the most current semester.
- Follow the directions to pay the deposit.
*To update your Primary College or Primary CUNY Role:
- Click on MY PROFILE, which is in the upper right-hand corner of your CUNY Portal Welcome page.
- Click on Modify. Update Primary College and/or Primary CUNY Role and click save.
- Click on STUDENT on the upper left-hand corner to return to your CUNY Portal Welcome page.
a) Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payments made from your bank checking/savings account. EFTs are FREE OF CHARGE with no convenience fee.
b) Credit Card payments using your American Express, MasterCard or Discover Card. The College does not accept the VISA card. Credit Card payments incur a 2.65% convenience fee charge in addition to the commitment deposit.
Undergraduate students will be paying a $100 commitment deposit (plus a $2.65 convenience fee if required). The $100 will be credited towards the student's tuition and fee bill.
Graduate students will be paying a $250 commitment deposit (plus a $6.63 if required). The $250 will be credited towards the student's tuition and fee bill.
2) IN PERSON
Undergraduate Students:
Print your Commitment Deposit Form from your MYCCNY page and submit it, along with cash, a check (drawn on a U.S. bank) or money order made payable to The City College of New York, to the Office of the Bursar, Wille Administration Building, Rm. A-103.
Graduate Students:
Submit cash, check (drawn on a U.S. bank) or money order made payable to The City College of New York, to the Office of the Bursar, Wille Administration Building, Rm. A-103.
3) BY MAIL
Undergraduate Students:
Mail your check (drawn on a U.S. bank) or money order, along with the Commitment Deposit Form found on your MYCCNY page, to the Office of the Bursar. Make check or money order payable to The City College of New York. Please do not send cash.
Graduate Students:
Mail your check (drawn on a U.S. bank) or money order to the Office of the Bursar. Make check or money order payable to The City College of New York. Please do not send cash.
Important: Please be sure to print your name and social security number on the check or money order.
