The public lecture and panel includes a group of the nation’s leading litigators specializing in lawsuits against the government. In addition to the public lecture, Professor Dodd is hosting a private workshop for a group of litigators and legal scholars specializing in Section 1983 litigation, the set of legal doctrines underpinning stop and frisk litigation. Law professors from across the region will be attending the workshop. Professor Dodd is the new co-chair of the American Bar Association, Section on Litigation’s Subcommittee on 1983 Litigation and is completing a book, Taming the Rights Revolution, examining  the history of the Supreme Court’s Section 1983 cases.
