  This event celebrates the release of the book Teaching Matters:  Stories from Inside City Schools (New Press, 2012), which features the work of graduates of City College’s School of Education. Based on inquiries into their practice that they conducted during the capstone research course of their graduate education programs, the teachers' firsthand accounts of the challenges and dilemmas of teaching in city schools offer insights to how to address some of the pressing issues faced by all educators today.
