| bio: William Harkins was born in Huntington, Long Island and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He has worked in film and television in both New York and Los Angeles before attending graduate film school. In addition to Marcus’ Story, his fiction films at CCNY include Home Free, an 8-minute 16mm film about a young boy who runs away from his family on their first day in an inner city neighborhood. William’s documentaries at CCNY include Tree Sellers, a four part series about the Christmas tree sellers of New York City and Cousin Doug, a biographical piece about a distant relative in upstate New York. William was awarded the Joseph Vasquez scholarship last year from New Line Cinema. He is working on a feature length screenplay about real estate agents in downtown Manhattan. |
