bio:
James E. Machado is a native New Yorker who has always strived to master
the art of picture and sound. With his beginnings as a lighting and sound
designer for contemporary theater, James cleanly positioned himself to
embrace the moving image. Extensive experience as an offline editor for
corporate, industrial, and multimedia projects has instilled a sense of
professionalism uncharacteristic in most young editors. Experience as
a struggling musician in New York has formed James into a competent recording
engineer and ruthless self-promoter. Through his study towards the MFA,
James has expanded his work to include both short and long for documentaries
as well as fiction narratives of comedic and dramatic nature. He is an
artist -in-residence at Speedy Busboy Productions, a production collective
that is currently in production with a DV comedic feature, and a number
of shorts.

thing a person can give you is their time...their labor. It is the one
thing that any of us truly own." |
