Synopsis:
My 16yr. old daughter Kelly is learning to drive in Bergen County NJ,
where drivers routinely ignore STOP signs and “right-of-way”
traffic law. The tone of the film will be both tongue-in-cheek and serious
in nature. The overall theme of the project is a quest (actually, a double
quest). The first quest is to find out why Bergen County Drivers disregard
traffic law. The second quest is to follow Kelly Mermelstein as she attempts
to get her driver’s license combined with her dilemma of mastering
the by-the-book/law method of driving that is required to obtain her driver’s
license vs. the reality of the Bergen County method of driving and its
accepted disregard of traffic law. |
