JPMorganChase and the Ditmas Intermediate School

For the past three years, JPMorganChase, in an major pilot program known as "ON DEC" has been providing desktop computers to all 1,300 students attending the Ditmas Intermediate School in Brooklyn. They are also providing laptops for all faculty and staff as well as technical support services to the school and professional development for the faculty. JPMorganChase is also partnering with our Center for School Development's PT3 project and they have provided the resources for our School of Education to purchase laptop computers as well as carts that enable the use of the laptops in preservice classrooms. In turn, we have provided  graduate courses, workshops and other assistance to teachers to integrate technology in their teaching. In addition, preservice School of Education students have provided an Online Homework Helper program for Ditmas sixth graders. This proved to be a wonderful way for Ditmas students to receive help and for our preservice education students to learn teaching skills and technology.
