For the past two-and-a-half years the Center for School Development has been directing a major grant from the US Department of Education to prepare students and faculty to use and teach with technology. The goal of the program is to infuse technology in School of Education courses and programs in order to insure that every preservice teacher is both a user of technology and able to teach with technology. As a result of the project, the School of Education has implemented an electronic portfolio program, created program Web sites, Web-enhanced its courses using "Blackboard.com", integrated technology into courses and programs, and significantly strengthened its technology infrastructure and technology support staff. Project partners include JPMorganChase, ThinkQuest's T3 Program, I*EARN, Community School Districts #3, #5 and #6, Manhattan High Schools, the NYC Division of Instruction's Office of Instructional Technology at the Department of Education, the Mott Hall School and the Ditmas Intermediate School. Project partners have contributed funds, training and other in-kind contributions to this project.
