E-mail at CCNY

The Department of Academic Computing Information Systems (ACIS) gives users access to a wide variety of computer services. These include a variety of computers, software, and communications facilities. They are provided in a way that encourages collaboration and cooperation between users. This places considerable responsibility on the individual users.

The Department of Academic Computing and Information Systems maintains certain policies with regard to the use and security of it's computer systems. All users of it's facilities are expected to be familiar with and to abide by these policies. Violations of any of these policies can lead to the suspension of computer account(s) pending investigation of circumstances. Serious violations of the department's policy will be referred directly to the appropriate academic or outside authorities. Unauthorized use of any University computing facility can be a criminal offense. The severity of the penalties range from suspension or dismissal from the University to criminal prosecution.
