Jewish Studies Program

The Wailing Wall

The Michael and Irene Ross Program in Jewish Studies offers a wide range of courses that examine all aspects of the extensive and expansive history of the Jews, in all of its color and complexity.   Most importantly, the program analyzes the connection of Jews in America with other ethnic minorities (and Majorities) and connects today’s relationships to past events and activities and highlights the similarities in past struggles and future goals, as well as differences.

Working closely with other departments, Jewish Studies courses are designed to embrace discussions on ethical, as well as spiritual, concerns throughout the political, social and philosophical spectrum.  Whether you choose the program as a major, minor or area of interest, we invite you to explore this vibrant culture.
