Sara Elizabeth Caples (M Arch, Yale) is a principal in Caples Jefferson Architects, founded in 1987 and located in Manhattan. She has also worked at the firms of James Stewart Polshek & Partners and Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum. Caples Jefferson's recent work has focused on museum, exhibition, school, and community center projects such as the expansion of Queens Theatre in the Park, Flushing Meadows Park, Queens and a citation-winning competition entry for the Marcus Garvey Houses Community Center in Brooklyn.
