About:

The Argentina-born Rodolfo Machado teaches at Harvard's GSD where is the Chair of the Department of Urban
Planning and Design. He has edited a number of publications on urban planning at the GSD. A former department
of architecture chair at RISD, Machado has a master of architecture from UC Berkeley where he also took doctoral
studies in architectural theory. He is a partner in Machado and Silvetti Associates which was incorporated in 1985.
It is a forty-five-person practice focused on institutional buildings and master plans.
