Architecture LibraryThom Mayne: Selected Bibliography
About:
A graduate of Harvard's GSD, Thom Mayne is a co-founder of the Southern California Institute of Architecture, or SCI-Arc. He is also the head of the award-winning, Los Angeles-based firm Morphosis, which he founded with Michael Rotondi in 1972. The firm now designs a number of large-scale public projects including Cal Trans' headquarters, a Federal office building in San Francisco, a courthouse in Oregon, and Diamond Ranch High School, which architecture critic Herbert Muschamp referred to as "clearly the best American building of the year." Morphosis was chosen in late 2003 to design Cooper Union's new academic building, Mayne's first large-scale building in NYC.
