About:
Martha Schwartz, a distinguished
visiting professor of landscape architecture at the City College of New
York during the 2003-2004 academic year, is the principal of Martha Schwartz,
Inc. a landscape firm in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The firm specializes
in landscape design and public art commissions. Recent projects include
the redesign of 26 Federal Plaza in New York City, the HUD Plaza
in Washington, DC, and the Swiss Re Headquarters in Munich, Germany. She
is the recipient of numerous awards and prizes including a fellowship from
the Urban Design Institute and several design awards from the American
Society of Landscape Architects.
