EuroDocs: Primary Historical Documents From Western Europe--These links connect to Western European (mainly primary) historical documents that are transcribed, reproduced in facsimile, or translated. They shed light on key historical happenings within the respective countries.

Europa - The European Union On-Line -- The portal site of the European Union, providing up-to-date coverage of European Union affairs and European integration. It includes all legislation currently in force or under discussion and access the web sites of each of the EU institutions.

FedWorld Information Network -- "FedWorld was established by The National Technical Information Service( NTIS), an agency of the U.S Department of Commerce, to serve as the online locator service for a comprehensive inventory of information disseminated by the Federal Government."

FIRSTGOV -- The official site for U.S. Government information, services, transactions, and forms. It provides the ability to search every word of every U.S. document. Foreign Relations of the United States -- "The official documentary historical record of major US foreign policy decisions and significant diplomatic activity." Established by the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978, the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA) is an independent agency that is responsible for administering the labor-management relations program for close to 2 million federal employees across the world. To achieve that end, the FLRA's site provides a host of information about recent cases decided by the Authority, along with information about its activities and current staff roster.

McCarthy Hearings Transcripts -- The U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) is providing public access to the transcripts of closed-door hearings conducted by Senator Joseph McCarthy during 1953-54. The printed transcripts comprise over 4,300 pages of hearings in 5 volumes. They are the proceedings of executive sessions of the Senate's Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, during which Subcommittee Chairman McCarthy and Members and staff questioned nearly 400 individuals about their alleged involvement in communist activities. The transcripts may be viewed online free of charge, herein, via GPO Access.

Monthly Labor Review Online -- "The Monthly Labor Review Online is based on the print publication, the Monthly Labor Review, a journal of fact, analysis, and research published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Department of Labor. REGINFO.GOV -- The Regulatory Information Service Center has established the REGINFO.GOV site to assist users who want to find information about Federal, state, and local regulation. The Center is a Federal Government office located in the General Services Administration, with responsibility for gathering and publishing information on Federal regulations.

Regulations.gov -- On this site, you can find, review, and submit comments on Federal documents that are open for comment and published in the Federal Register, the Government's legal newspaper.

(SARS) Government Views of SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) -- Early in 2003, a previously unknown, but highly contagious disease began to appear in Asia and became known as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome, or SARS. (Sept. 11, 2001) Congressional Reports: Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities before and after the Terrorist Attacks of September 11, 2001 -- "In February 2002, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence agreed to conduct a Joint Inquiry into the activities of the U.S. Intelligence Community in connection with the terrorist attacks perpetrated against our nation on September 11, 2001. This report (available as both S. Rept. 107-351 and H. Rept. 107-792) consists of 832 pages that presents the joint inquiry's findings and conclusions, an accompanying narrative, and a series of recommendations."

(Sept. 11, 2001) Legislation Related to the Attack of September 11, 2001 -- "This site was begun (at the Library of Congress) in September 2001 as a way of keeping the public readily apprised of legislation related to the terrorist attack on the United States that month. The selection, made by hand, is necessarily subjective, as the September 11th attack had a ripple effect on legislation in the second session of the 107th Congress, making boundaries difficult to draw. The site will not be updated after the conclusion of the 107th (2001-2002). "The "DigitalCollection" area of the site is an authoritative compendium of over 9,220 documents related to various areas of transportation and transportation policy.
