Mission
Statement
The Library's collections, services and technologies support, college-wide, the delivery of content in support of research, scholarship, the curriculum, scholarly communication, appreciation of cultural diversity, information literacy, and community service. In this process the iMEDIA division of the Library strives to provide superior, quality service in support of the needs of faculty, students and staff for basic and advanced media technologies. The division will work with the College community at all levels to ensure that basic media technologies are available to them and will consult with them to address their needs for advanced media technologies for media rich, state of the art, creative work.

Videoconferencing & Distance Education
The iMEDIA division provides videoconferencing and distance education capabilities for CCNY faculty, students and research staff.
Contact iMEDIA for an introduction to videoconferencing and distance education capabilities and for information on how to schedule these services at CCNY.
- Professional associations and organizations often provide videoconferences on special topics of interest to faculty and students.
- Distance education courses offered by a variety of institutions and organizations can be hosted at CCNY as well.

Often faculty, students and staff and administrators will require an audio or a video recording of:The iMEDIA staff are prepared to offer audio and video recording production services for these events.

iMEDIA Rooms
iMEDIA maintains 5 rooms that can be reserved for special class sessions, videoconferencing and special events with media requirements that can be more effectively met using these media rooms.
- Room 5/212, the videoconferencing and distance education room
with seating for 25- Room 5/220, an audio-visual production studio cabled into the
Media Distribution System- Room 5/101, an amphitheatre classroom with seating for 108 cabled into the Media Distribution System with large screen projection
- Room 5/108, an electronic classroom cabled into the Media Distribution System with large screen projection
- Room 4/213, an electronic classroom cabled into the Media Distribution System
