Campbell Dalglish Film and Video (Screenwriting)






 

 

Professor Dalglish is a writer, director, producer of films and television documentaries, and has been teaching at NYU for the last fifteen years. He worked with The Institute of Community Research, Connecticut Public TV, Hill Top Productions and the Connecticut Humanities Council specializing in the production of videos by and about the lives of people living in the marginal communities of gang lands (A HARD WAY OUT, 1996), homeless shelters (TUNNEL OF LIGHT, 1993), and prisons (SHOOTING GALLERY, 1987).

For eight years he served as Head of both the Writing Program and Community Video Program at Springfield College School of Human Services. On sabbatical, Prof. Dalglish produced, directed and wrote a short narrative film, DANCE OF THE QUANTUM CATS, (1997), which has won nine awards and been screened at festivals in North America, Europe, Scandinavia, Japan, and New Zealand. In 1997 Prof. Dalglish and his films were part of a special on new Connecticut based film directors on Connecticut Public TV. His award winning plays include THE LIST and BLUE MASS. He is also a published songwriter and poet. Prof. Dalglish is currently working on a PBS documentary called LIVING IN HARMONY WITH THE SUN for WLIW.
