TELEMUNDO 47, NEXTEL, THE SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION AND THE CITY COLLEGE OF NEW YORK LAUNCH “SU NEGOCIO”CAMPAIGN

New York, NY (July 6, 2005) - Beginning on Monday July 11, Telemundo 47, Nextel, the Small Business Administration and The City College of New York will join forces to launch a week-long campaign titled “Su Negocio” that will offer viewers helpful information on how to start their own businesses. Luis Alejandro Medina, correspondent for “Noticiero 47 at 6 & 11 p.m.” will file a series of special finance related reports that will cover numerous topics including how to formulate a business plan, where to get free financial advise and where to apply for loans and financial assistance.

“Telemundo 47 is committed to keeping our viewers informed of the many financial options available to them. The launch of the business campaign is an essential component of this ongoing effort,” said Manuel Martínez-Llorián, Vice President and General Manager for Telemundo 47.

The campaign will culminate with a free business drive sponsored by Telemundo 47, Nextel, the Small Business Administration and The City College. Everyone is welcome to attend the free business seminars that will take place on Saturday, July 16 from 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. at CCNY’s Shepard Hall – Great Hall located at 138th Street and Convent Avenue, 2nd Floor. Financial experts at the seminars will offer free financial counseling and advice on how to start your own business; where to find the best loan opportunities; how to take advantage of tax incentives and how implement a marketing and publicity strategy. WNJU’s correspondent Luis Alejandro Medina will be on hand to greet visitors and sign autographs.
