     Professor Carillo is a composer, arranger, and jazz guitarist who has toured and recorded extensively with Harry Belafonte and Jon Lucien. His music has been published and performed in the concert hall as well as on film and television soundtracks. He serves as deputy chairperson and director of jazz studies.
