Profile
Nelly D. Saint-Maurice, M.Phil., in French, The CUNY Graduate Center ; M.A. in Dance & Theatre; B.F.A. Suma Cum Laude in Film, CCNY, CUNY ; Lecturer of French. Her area of specialty is interdisciplinary arts & foreign language pedagogy. Her research interests include the works of Antonin Artaud and Carmelo Bene. She has taught courses on French Theatre, French Film, Paris: De L'Exposition Universelle aux Années folles,(1899-1929) & French Civilization. She is also the director of Lumières, the French Cultural Center @ CCNY and the founder, director, and co-producer of Lumières' Caravan, a performance group that focuses on multi-media events in NYC.
