Research
Interests:
African
Americans. Our focus is to look at how resilience manifests over the
life span contributing to well-being and evolving a philosophy of life
that facilitates everyday survival and thriving. A present we are beginning
qualitative analysis of interviews and verifying transcibed tapes using
computer data files. There is a plan to expand the project by developing
a proposal and larger study in the fall. A separate study is being planned
to validate and further develop my psychological well being instrument.
We
are interested in students willing to commit a reasonable amount of
time, can use MS Word or even have greater computer expertise. Most
important students are trustworthy with confidential data, can fit in
with the team and be most responsible about time and duties. You know
my crew so you know the type of students on my team. Interested students
should contact Alice Shepard or myself.
