The
combined ba/ma program allows outstanding students to obtain a Masters
degree in the Prevention Track of the Masters Program while pursuing
their undergraduate degrees. Students accepted into the program
can obtain the training in prevention given in the Prevention Track,
while moving swiftly toward obtaining a Masters Degree. Because
the coursework in the Masters Track
overlaps with the coursework in prevention offered in the Doctoral
Program in Experimental Cognition, students in the combined
ba/ma program who show promise in research can go on to obtain a
Ph. D. in less time than is usual in doctoral programs. Thus, outstanding
high school and undergraduate students interested in prevention
can actually put together the combined ba/ma program with the overlap
between the Masters and Doctoral Programs to make rapid progress
from undergraduate to doctoral degrees.

Students
As
noted above, because the coursework in the Masters Track overlaps
with the coursework in prevention offered in the Doctoral Program
in Experimental Cognition, students in the Masters program who show
promise in research can go on to obtain a Ph. D. in less time than
is usual in doctoral programs.
