BLANCHE MASON STARKWEATHER
STUDENT AWARD GUIDELINES

The Blanche Mason Starkweather Award provides a stipend of $1,000 to a student (preferably an undergraduate) engaged in a significant humanistic project under the guidance of a faculty mentor.

Candidates for the 'Starkweather" must be presented by the faculty mentor via a proposal (of about 500 words). In addition to indicating the student's qualifications, the mentor should describe the student's role in a project that contributes to scholarly knowledge or to the general public's understanding of the humanities.
The application should be submitted by the nominating faculty member to the Office of the Dean of the Humanities & the Arts, NAC 5/225.
