* Prerequisites for student teaching include completion of education course work, standardized exams, and meeting with science education advisor and field work coordinator early in the semester preceding student teaching.

# Selected in consultation with a program advisor. Courses designated "for middle school teachers" can not count.

^ Science Education Courses are graduate science courses (BIOE, CHEME, EASE, PHYSE, or SCIE) which are specifically intended for teachers. Note that Science Education courses are a subset of Science courses. Ask science education advisor which courses qualify.

+ Education courses required for Initial Certification can not be applied as an elective.

o Can be waived if equivalent course has been taken.

Any changes or deviations from the above program requirements must obtain written advisor approval.
