Friday, November 30: Partnerships in Health - You and HIV/AIDS
Conference
The conference will be held at City College in the Arownow Theater,
located in the North Academic Center on the 1st floor between the hours of
9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The conference will provide adequate, up-to-date information on HIV/AIDS
and other STI's (Sexually Transmitted Infections), its myths, challenges,
and realities.
Students will be trained to conduct brief presentations, and taught
effective methods that will promote dialogue and discussions with their
peers and other young adults on sexual prevention techniques. Upon
completion of the training workshops each student will receive a
certificate of completion of the training as well as a $25 stipend fee. To
assure the stipend fee of the conference, the Wellness and Counseling
Center must receive the names. social security numbers and address of
students whom will be participating by Friday, October 12, 2001. Students
who register after the deadline will be required to complete the forms
necessary upon completion of all the training workshops the day of the
conference.
