Coleman just recently finished his duties on the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Committee. He was Chairman for the overall committee during the 2000-2001 season, and Chairman of the Atlantic Region from 1998-2001. He is presently the Vice President of the four year institutions in the CUNY Athletic Conference. During his first three years as Athletic Director at City College, Coleman has reorganized the entire program. Under his direction the program has won CUNY Championships in the sports of Men's Basketball and Men's Volleyball. He has also spear-headed the renovation of facilities including the Nat Holman Gymnasium and the Wingate Fitness Center. Coleman however is most proud of his program maintaning over half of its student-athletes with a GPA of 3.0 and above. A 1987 graduate of St. Leo College, FL, Coleman received his bachelor's degree in Sports Management. In 1989, he earned his M.Ed. in Athletic Administration from Springfield College, MA. Coleman's basketball career included a year at West Virgina Wesleyan and three years at St. Leo College.The 36 year old currently resides in Long Beach, New York.
