Division of Student Affairs
Recreation & Campus Fitness
The Department of Recreation and Campus Fitness is comprised of both a recreation program and an intramural program. The mission of the Department of Recreation and Campus Fitness is to provide opportunities for participation in quality recreational and sports activities that address the recreational and athletic needs of the City College community.
The Recreation Program promotes fitness as a lifestyle through activities such as fitness classes, cardiovascular and strength training, swimming, basketball, and volleyball.
The main goal of the Intramural Program is to provide competitive athletic activities for the City College Community within a safe and equitable sporting environment. Though many of the activities in the Intramural Program are the same as those in the Recreation Program (swimming, basketball, soccer etc.), the main difference between the two programs is that intramural activities are organized as competitive events.
A valid City College ID is required for entry to all recreational and intramural facilities and for borrowing athletic equipment.
