Since 2001, the CCNY WAC Program has worked with 65 faculty in 25 disciplines on Course Projects.
So far, we've worked on projects in the Divisions of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Sciences. We've also worked with the Schools of Architecture, Education, and Sophie Davis Biomedicine. Usually, Writing Fellows spend two semesters with faculty to develop projects.
Course projects range in their complexity and intensity.
- Some faculty request a series of reading and writing workshops in their classes over the course of a semester.
- For others, we've developed entire course handbooks, new syllabi, and new assignments.
- In a few cases, we've done research projects in classes that faculty have used to inform their own scholarship of teaching and learning.
To judge faculty satisfaction with their collaboration in the WAC program, see Assessment.
