Assessment of the WAC @ City Program
Over the past several semesters, the WAC program at CCNY has undertaken a series of assessments to help evaluate the impact of the program not only on faculty and pedagogical methods, but also on students' responses to these methods. These assessments have focused on students' perceptions of improvement in their writing, the impact of WAC on student writing ability, and faculty reactions to implementing WAC principles in their courses.
Five major assessments are reported here: a faculty survey, a student survey, a set of student interviews, an overview of student experiences, and an evaluation of a WAC enrichment program.
