Emigrating from China to the United States in 2009 was an exciting transition. As soon as I arrived, I began to seek opportunities that could help me to adapt to and settle into American society. I enrolled in CCNY in Fall 2010 as a SEEK student with dual majors in economics and mathematics. I am a City College Fellow and also a Pipeline Research Fellow at the Graduate Center. I have a great interest in using recent advances in machine learning from applied math and computer science disciplines to complement prominent economics theories, and I have decided to continue to study and conduct research in graduate school. I have been awarded the Ward Medal for best economics graduate and have been admitted to doctoral programs in economics at Boston University.
