CUNY Math Challenge

Sponsored by the Office of Academic Affairs and the CUNY Institute for Software Design and Development (CISDD) and supported by the Office of the Chancellor, the CUNY Math Challenge seeks to identify and reward CUNY's best math talent. Regardless of your major, if you are a matriculated CUNY undergraduate student and enjoy doing math problems, the CUNY Math Challenge is for you! There are cash prizes in the second and in the final round.

Here's how it works. The contest begins on-line at 9:00 A.M. on Monday, February 15, 2016 and is composed of four rounds with questions of varying difficulty. The first and third rounds will take place entirely online; the first will remain open for two weeks, the third for two weeks. The competition ends on Sunday, April 17, 2016.

The second and the final rounds are by invitation only and will consist of in-person exams. A cash prize of $100 will be awarded to the student who does best in a college as long as there are at least three students in that college taking the exam. Round four will have cash prizes of from $500 to $2500. Up to $15,000 will be awarded to the winners.
