Profile

Seamus Scanlon is an award winning librarian (Carnegie Corporation/New York Times) at the CWE library.  He held previous posts within City College libraries (Music and Cohen) and before CUNY worked in the Scientific Periodicals Library of Cambridge University (UK), Southampton University (UK), Queens University of Belfast (Northern Ireland) and as part of the Senior Management Team at the National University of Ireland, Galway.

He is a playwright, novelist, short story writer and screen writer. His first play The McGowan Trilogy (Arlen House, 2014)  was staged in New York (2014), Ireland (2015) and Japan (2018) (www.mcgowantrilogy.com). The play was translated into Japanese and starred Tori Matsuzaka.

 The Long Wet Grass was on the film festival circuit (2018-2019) and The Butterfly Love Song on the film festival circuit (2019-2020).
