Baskerville Hall (B)

Baskerville Hall is located on the West side of Convent Ave. at W.140 street (North-campus). Baskerville Hall was built in 1903-1907 and designed by George B. Post. It is one of the four buildings comprising the North Campus Quadrangle: Baskerville, Compton-Goethals, Harris, and Wingate. Baskerville is right across from Shepard Hall.

Baskerville's front entrance faces the very charming little green square, once called the beaverpark. The beaver is CCNY's mascot, however, the name of the park was recently changed. When the weather is nice, students gather on the grass and benches to study, socialize, or have lunch. During clubhours some students organize cook-outs with djs spinning, or the Salsa/Mambo Club dancing for entertainment. Once a year, the square becomes the hotspot for the Honors Graduation Reception, usually accompanied by live music and a buffet.
