Student Support Resources and the Counseling Center facilitate several emergency grant and loan programs for currently enrolled students in degree granting programs who are not in debt to the College. These programs can assist students who have been impacted by a short-term financial emergency. Any matriculated student in good standing, who is experiencing a current and unforeseen emergency, is eligible to apply for a grant and/or loan. The grants and loans available for students are:
- The Carroll and Milton Petrie Grant (up to $1,500)
- The Dreamkeepers Grant (up to $500)
Note: the Dreamkeepers Grant requires online application. Students can apply for a Dreamkeepers grant at: https://ccny.dreamkeepers.org
- The Richter Free Loan (up to $1,200)
- The John and Eileen Carr Loan (up to $1,200)
- The Richter/Schwaeger Loan Deferral (up to $1,100)
Students may only apply for one grant, but they can apply for a grant and a loan if eligible. To download a universal grant/loan application please click here.
Interested students can present directly to the Counseling Center to be pre-screened, discuss the eligibility criteria, and begin the application process.
