Professional Recruitment Programs

The Professional Recruiting Program is available to bachelor and masters degree students who are graduating in the current academic year or who obtained their degree less than one year ago and are seeking full time employment after graduation.The program is designed to assist students with the career management process and focus on:

  • Building a professional personal portfolio (resume, cover letter, LinkedIn profile)
  • Learning how to conduct industry research and job search strategies
  • Enhancing interview skills
  • Exploring the changes in behavior and attitude required for success in the workplace
  • Prepare CCNY students

Benefits to Students

After completing the scheduled workshops/activities students will:

  • Be able to submit a resume to participate in on campus interview program
  • Have their resume referred to organizations hiring candidates with their credentials
  • Be invited to special employer networking events
  • Be able to reflect and articulate their personal and professional experiences as they relate to: knowledge and skills required by top employers
  • Develop a career plan of action based on skills and knowledge base, to identify career options
  • Know and utilize the necessary tools to conduct job search (resume, cover letter, interviewing, building an on-line presence)
  • Be assigned to a career professional that will provide guidance and support throughout the year
  • Be able to submit a resume to participate in on campus interview program

Program Requirements

Students applying for the Professional Recruiting Programs must meet the following criteria for acceptance into the program:

  • Have a minimum of a 2.7 cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) if majoring in engineering or science or a 2.5 overall (GPA) if majoring in a non-technical field of study
  • Submit application
  • Attend all modules/workshops associated with the program
  • Prior to the acceptance into the program you must have a mock interview
