European Joint Master's Degree in English & American Studies
The City College Master's Program in English participates with 5 partners in the European Union (the University of Graz – Austria; the University of Pécs – Hungary; the University of Bamberg – Germany; the Ca'Foscari University of Venice – Italy; and the University of Paris-Denis Diderot-France, and Roehampton University, UK) who offer a Joint Master's Degree in English and American Studies. Currently, the program offers students pursuing a Master's at City in English Literature or Language and Literacy the opportunity to spend a semester abroad at one of the partner institutions as part of their coursework, and we are also hoping to arrange for City College students who complete the Joint Degree program to receive an international diploma along with their City College degree. For more information about the Joint Degree program, go to http://www.jointdegree.eu/, click on "Programmes," and then click on "MA English and American Studies." The program is open to both prospective and continuing MA students, but the number of places per semester is limited. If you are interested in applying or have additional questions about the program, please contact by e-mail the City College liaison, Prof. Renata Miller.
