New Student Sessions (NSS)

All new freshmen are required to attend a minimum of five (5) New Student Sessions (NSS).*  Each session attended earns you a point towards the minimum 5 that you must complete in order to complete the requirement.  You are welcome to take more, but you cannot take fewer.

Four of the sessions are mandatory: Freshman Convocation, Sexual Harassment, Digital Literacy and You, The Successful Student . For the fifth session, you may choose freely from the wide array of NSS sessions presented throughout the school term.  The elective session must be different, i.e., you cannot get an NSS point for any session you have attended once before.

You must fulfill this requirement before you earn 31 credits.

Attendance will be taken at every event.  A notation of your attendance at the event and the number of events you have attended will be posted to your transcript.
