    NEW YORK, February 4, 2009 - Robert Rodriguez has been appointed Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs at The City College of New York, CCNY President Gregory H. Williams announced today.  He had been Director of Affirmative Action, Compliance and Diversity and Chairman of the Auxiliary Enterprise Corp. at The College.  He will report to Esther Perález, Vice President of Student Affairs.

  • CCNY EXHIBIT HONORS KENNETH CLARK, FORMER PROFESSOR WHOSE RESEARCH HELPED END SCHOOL SEGREGATION

    NEW YORK, January 21, 2009 – “Toward Humanity and Racial Justice: The Legacy of Dr. Kenneth B. Clark” in the Cohen Library Atrium,” an exhibit on the life and work of the former CCNY Professor of Psychology whose research influenced the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that outlawed school segregation, opened January 20, in CCNY’s Cohen Library.

  • CCNY DISTINGUISHED LECTURER MYRAH BROWN GREEN CREATES QUILT FOR OBAMA INAUGURATION EXHIBIT

    NEW YORK, January 8, 2009 – Dr. Myrah Brown Green, Distinguished Lecturer of Art at The City College of New York (CCNY), is one of 44 master quilters whose work is included in “Quilts for Obama: An Exhibit Celebrating the Inauguration of our 44th President.”  The exhibit, at The Historical Society of Washington, D.C., opens Sunday, January 11, and runs through January 31.
