The Program in Premedical Studies is part of the consortium of colleges that participate in the Early Medical Education Program with SUNY Downstate College of Medicine.  More information regarding the EME Program is here.

The EME Program is “An initiative to increase the competitiveness of undergraduate pre-medical students, early in their college career. The program is designed to provide medical science lectures and academic support. All of the lectures include a case-based learning approach.”

Sophomores and lower Juniors ONLY are eligible.  You must be a member of an underrepresented group in medicine, or be economically or educationally disadvantaged to apply.  Students who are successfully admitted to the EME Program spend three summers on the SUNY Downstate campus and are guaranteed admission to SUNY Downstate.

CCNY Premedical Studies Annual Volunteer Fair

The Premedical Studies Volunteer Fair is held annually and is an outreach effort to bring together non-profit organizations to the CCNY campus to recruit CCNY pre-med, pre-dental and pre-vet students for their organizations.

CCNY Premedical Studies Medical & Dental School Fair

The Medical & Dental School Fair is held annually and is an opportunity for CCNY/CUNY undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students to meet with invited representatives from medical (MD and DO) and dental schools across the US.  We also host panel discussions prior to the fair for students to learn strategies in becoming a competitive applicant to professional schools of medicine and dentistry.  The panel discussions are chaired by Admission Deans and Diversity Affairs Officers at leading medical and dental schools across the US.  In the past, we have welcomed representatives from Cornell Med, SUNY Upstate, Yale College of Medicine, Columbia Med and Columbia Dental, NYU College of Dental Medicine, the University of Indiana School of Medicine, American University of the Caribbean, Ross University School of Medicine, Albert Einstein College of Medicine and many, many others.
