Harriet Alonso

Harriet Alonso holds a Ph.d. in History. She is the author of five books and many articles and book reviews. Her book, Growing Up Abolitionist: The Story of the Garrison Children received the Warren F. Kuehl Book Award from the Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations. She has also received an article prize, an NEH Research Fellowship, and two teaching awards. Alonso is also a member of the faculty at the CUNY Graduate Center.
