Profile
Michael Whalen is a two-time Emmy® Award winning composer, music supervisor, recording artist and producer. After creating music for over 600 television shows, special & series, 17 feature-film scores, thousands of ads and numerous TV themes and corporate identity pieces, his music is heard by hundreds of millions of people a day around the world. Michael's most well-known credits include music for "The Oprah Winfrey Show", "Inside Edition", the feature film "What the Bleep Do We Know?" and "Good Morning America". Forthcoming projects include the indie feature films "Cargo", "Sophomore", the feature documentary "Brothers on the Line", his new singer/songwriter EP entitled the "The Trouble With Love" and his third classical recording "Neptune's Palace" (Arabesque). Michael frequently performs in the New York City area where he lives and works. He is also an adjunct professor at the City College of New York.
