    Artist and educator, Paul Rajeckas, has been performing and teaching since 1979. He has collaborated with many renowned artists including Jonathan Wolken, co-founder of Pilobolus Dance Theater and Neil Intraub of TheatreMoves. Paul co-authored NOTES TO THE MOTHERLAND with George Chieffet where it premiered at the 78th Street Theatre Lab in October 2003. The play went on to its Off-Broadway premiere at the 59th Street Theater in July 2004. NOTES TO THE MOTHERLAND was nominated for a Fringe First Award at the 2004 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Mr. Rajeckas was nominated as best actor at the 2004 Festival by STAGE Magazine. In 2007 Paul premiered George Chieffet’s musical, LOVE CURES CANCER at the HERE Arts Center in NYC in 2009.  Paul makes his directorial debut in the world premiere of MY LITHUANIAN SWEETHEART at the ARTISPHERE in September 2011. As an educator, Paul has been selected twice as a Doris Duke Foundation Creative Campus Innovation Artist. In November 2011, he will be the resident artist for the Telling Tales Project at SUNY Oswego where he collaborates with faculty on interdisciplinary teaching. Paul also teaches a graduate course called  “Physical Theater: the Art of Collaboration” with Neil Intraub for the City University of New York School of Education in the Fall of 2011.
