Starting October 1, 2013, you will be able to shop for and enroll in the health insurance plan that meets your needs through the New York Health Benefit Exchange. CUNY-United Healthcare

Online enrollment for the new CUNY-United Healthcare Insurance plan is open through February 28, 2014. CUNY students registered for 6 or more credits are eligible to enroll.  Coverage begins on the first day of the month you enroll.

The New York City Office of Citywide Health Insurance Access offers comprehensive information about available health insurance options. Check out their website to find a plan that is right for you. In collaboration with the Mayor's Office of Health Insurance Access (MOHIA)Student Health Services invites insurance enrollers on campus to speak to students regarding health insurance options.


The CUNY-United Healthcare insurance plan meets the Department of State Exchange Visitor Program's mandatory insurance specifications.

New York City's free prescription discount card is accepted at most pharmacies throughout the five boroughs. The card provides discounts on all prescriptions, including brand name and generic medication as well as some over the counter medications, such as stop smoking aids and diabetes supplies.
