Starting October 1, 2013, you will be able to shop for and enroll in the health insurance plan that meets your needs through the New York Health Benefit Exchange. The Exchange will help you and your family enroll in health insurance coverage. You may also receive financial assistance to help pay for it. Affordable Coverage in the Health Insurance Marketplace
CCNY does not have a college sponsored health insurance plan. CUNY has an arrangement with Emblem Health for students who are seeking health insurance options. All matriculated CUNY students and international students who are registered for 6 credits or more are eligible to apply for health insurance.
The New York City Office of Citywide Health Insurance Access offers comprehensive information about available health insurance options. Check out their website to find a plan that is right for you. In collaboration with the Mayor's Office of Health Insurance Access (MOHIA), Student Health Services invites insurance enrollers on campus to speak to students regarding health insurance options. They are available for consultation on the NAC Rotunda every Monday and Wednesday from 11:00AM to 2:00PM and Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00PM to 7:00 PM. No appointment is necessary.
