The Colin L. Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership (Division of Social Sciences)

The Social Sciences explore how and why individuals and various social groupings act the way they do. Using this knowledge, our students strive to change patterns which require alteration and effect positive actions – in the community, the nation, and around the world.   Whether the focus is political science or economics, psychology or sociology, public policy and public affairs – or any combination of these and other areas, the objective is for greater understanding of people and their actions for the improvement of the human species.
