Senigallia, Italy- CCNY Language and Culture Program

Study Italian language and culture in one of the most beautiful cities on the Adriatic Coast, Senigallia. Senigallia is a port town of the province of Ancona.  Its famous sands, also known as the “Velvet Beach" stretches across the north and south of the old town and city centre, is one of the most and beautiful beaches in all of Italy and is overlooked by the Rotonda a Mare, the symbol of Senigallia. Senigallia has a long and rich history that dates back to before the Italian Renaissance, which can be seen through its architecture and many historical monuments. It is also an excellent place to enjoy delicious cuisine and meet some of the friendliest and most welcoming people.

 

ITAL 31222- ITALIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE

In this course students will improve Italian grammar, language, and culture through the reading of articles and short stories. Italian grammar topics will be discussed through listening, speaking, reading and writing practice. The class will be conducted in Italian.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

o   GPA 2.5 or higher
o   ITAL 123 (This course is suitable either for students who want to fulfill the language requirement or students who are looking for credits for their Major/Minor in Italian.)

 

ITAL 31121- ITALIAN GRAMMAR

This is an intermediate course that focuses on Italian grammar. It is a fundamental and required course for Italian majors and minors as well as for students interested in improving their written language and conversational skills. The class will be conducted in Italian.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS: 

o   GPA 2.5 or higher
o   ITAL 123 (This course is suitable either for students who want to fulfill the language requirement or students who are looking for credits for their Major/Minor in Italian.)

- Deadline for all Application Materials: Friday, April 29, 2016
- Interview with Study Abroad: Friday, April 22 from 9am - 5pm
- Pre-Departure Orientation: Friday, April 29 at 12pm
- Deadline for payment of Program costs and CUNY - Tuition: Friday, May 6

Application Fee: $300

CUNY Tuition: 6 Credits

*Program Cost: $1,300

Airfare: $1,100 - $1,400 (Estimated)

 

*Program cost includes 3 Star Hotel with swimming pool, wi-fi, AC, etc. Excursions and all meals are included. Airfare is not included.
