The Rifkind Center for the Humanities and Arts and The Colin Powell School invites you to join Amitav Ghosh for a reading and discussion from his latest book, The Nutmeg's Curse: Parables for a Planet in Crisis.
Amitav Ghosh, prominent novelist and non-fiction writer, was born in Calcutta and grew up in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. His novels include The Circle of Reason, The Shadow Lines, The Hungry Tide, and The Ibis Trilogy, consisting of Sea of Poppies, River of Smoke and Flood of Fire. His works of non-fiction include The Great Derangement: Climate Change and the Unthinkable and The Nutmeg’s Curse: Parables for a Planet in Crisis, which was published in 2021.
